Meet Ashley!

Ashley is a fun, active young woman who loves her job, shopping, dancing, country music, fashion, and her family. She has worked at Miami University for 16 years in dining services. “It’s awesome there!” Ashley said. “I clean tables, take care of silverware, and I work on the buffet.” She especially enjoys interacting with the students and with her co-workers. Ashley is a member of Best Buddies at Miami University. Best Buddies provides opportunities for socializing and community connection for adults with disabilities who are paired with college students for one-on-one friendship. Ashley loves attending Best Buddies events. Ashley loves spending time with her parents and having fun with her niece and nephew. Ashley and her family benefit from services provided by our Board – she receives transportation services to and from her job as well as other services her support coordinator Leanne helps to manage.
